Encouraging Participation We were trying to figure out filed positions for our kickball game. Usually the captain assigns. This time we went around and asked everyone where they liked playing, where they thought they were good, what they wanted to try or never do. By listening and placing people where they wanted (it worked out mostly) we had a very successful game and everyone had a good time. 2. combining activities such as making phone calls while driving or stuck in traffic and eating while working on something is a way to carve out time. Unfortunately that becomes very stressful. Cutting out social activities and exercise is another way but that leads to a boring, depressing life. Sleep usually gets cut but it can't continuously continue. 1. Encouraging Participation
