During the final portion of the class you will be assigned a mentor. Look for your mentor assignment via email. (Note: Bethany and Melissa have chosen their own mentors. )
Two assignments are due as part of this project:
- #1. Mentor Interview. Students will pose questions to mentor which focus on the mentor’s experience as an entrepreneurial leader. In the context of this course, entrepreneurial leadership is broadly defined to include entrepreneurs (primarily women) who have successfully created value, through their own organization or within a larger organizational environment (corporate, community, government). The interview can be done in person or via telephone. It should not be conducted through email.
- #2. Student/Mentor project. The student and the mentor develop one manageable deliverable for the end of the semester. This activity will be based on the interests and needs of student and mentor and should be directly related to developing entrepreneurial leadership behavior, skills or thinking. Examples of deliverables include:
- Attending an event with the mentor to practice networking;
- Visiting the mentor’s workplace to see her in the role of entrepreneurial leader;
- Working with the mentor on a specific area of personal or professional development.

- a method of evaluating completion.
- A written report of the project process and outcome is submitted in the Student/Mentor Summary report (see #4, below.)3. Student/Mentor contact. A short summary of each contact is submitted in the Student/Mentor Summary Report (see #4, below.)4. Student/Mentor Summary Report.
